Home makes a new shelter, help please!

Special feasts sponsored by some of the sponsorers / volunteers on their (family's) memorial days like (birth day, anniversaries) and during festivals, which are indeed great supports the Home for provision needs for the day and one more day. The charges collected for the special feasts are Rs.500/- for spl. break-fast or night dinner, Rs.1,000/- for spl. lunch (below image). But you may offer whatever you wish and possible for any occasions. The charges are not anything fixed strictly.
Above all, your visit to our residents, kind words, chatting for some time will make them happy. Please try to get some minutes for the longing old age peoples.

Participate and perform our day care activities.

Participate in our Baba-pooja (Thursday), Christ prayers (Sunday)

Maintenance work like cleaning beds, fans, window-doors, utensils and equipments.
We conduct periodical service camps at slum areas or at urban poor areas, school/colleges, temples and on road campaigns. Please register yourself as volunteer with our Trust office and you will be invitied during the day (Mostly in Sundays/Holidays).

Our Idhaya Vaasal Elders' Home is run as a partial paid Home cum Orphanage.
Here few of our residents are paying from their pensions, most of the others are from middle class /poor families - who are paying whatever is possible by them. Four residents are from poor families or in a destitute situation. We are managing the Home with great difficulties every month with available regular funds. Except floor rent, EB and Salaries the facilities like food, medicine, elders and Home maintenances are all depending on donations.
For past two months we have been receiving more volunteers and donars - to support our good cause - and the we get confidence in running the Home somehow smoothly.
The Founder Trustee Shri.S. Parthasarathy, had a good network of similar organisations and households to get supports to run the Home. But struggle a lot for every month in paying the rent and providing good food. Now the members of the Home (residents) has doubled in number. Though we try to balance the income by adopting paid and unpaid members, the unexpected expenses like medical-maintenance cares makes us debitor at end end of every month.
