Established in 2008, the Aarathy Charitable Trust (Registered) has been on a mission of compassion ever since. At the core of our efforts is Sarathy's Idhaya Vaasal Elders' Home, a pivotal service under our Trust. Over 15 years, we've impacted thousands of lives, enhancing their quality of life.

Through collaborative efforts with volunteers and NGOs, we extend our reach across Tamil Nadu, supporting the needy and destitute. Old Age Home is registered with District Social Welfare Office, South Chennai, under the Rule 12(3) of the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of the Parents and Senior Citizens Rule 2009 (Central Act 56 of 2007) and for a Registration period from 22.05.2023 to 21.05.2026.

Located in Pallikaranai, Chennai, the Idhaya Vaasal Home currently houses 40 elderly residents, with 13 among them being bed-ridden geriatric patients. Our Trust ensures their well-being through comprehensive nursing, physiotherapy, and nutritious meals, all provided with utmost care.

Operating as a close-knit family-like environment, Idhaya Vaasal (meaning 'entrance to heart') employs a dedicated team of full-time caregivers and staff, ensuring the comfort and happiness of all 50 residents under our care. Admission Procedure Link.

Aarathy Trust

With broad vision of social services to the weaker sections, this Aarathy Charitable Trust was founded by S. Parthasarathy (Late) jointly with one of his best friend Dr.C.R. Suriyakumar in January 2008. The Trust is registered with government and obtained 80G certificate for income-tax exemptions to all the donations the Trust collects.

Building Fundraising

The Trust has initiated the construction of its own building in an area of 3 grounds (own land), at Kanchivakkam, near Padappai. This new facility aims to provide shelter for 75 destitute elders.
